Morgan Nardi is standing on an inclined plane

Where does the truth end and the lie begin? In his solo piece Morgan Nardi weaves a web of lies and trues based upon his own biographie and dance, singing und storry telling, thus questioning both, his self-presentation and the demands of the audience within the context of art world.
With my installation, an inclined plane, I force the performer to seek balance and not slip. Its geometric design, which is solidified bit by bit to a closed space, produces a perspective, and so one can experience, how determined and captured we are within the field of visibility and visualization.

Poster-Sessions (2005), Two posters and two videos (10 min. and 8 min.)
Together with Arne Bunk, for Istanbul Biannual 2005

Still from the video Poster-Session #2
Under discussion with artist Gülsün Karamustafa: We are asking for her valuation concerning the joining of Turkey to EU and respective attitude of Austria.

Austria’s right populists party Freiheitliche Partei Österreich (FPÖ) called attention in Vienna during its local elections in September 2005. With several posters they campaigned in short polemics against EU enlargement and migrants in Austria. In one of these posters a direct comparison was drawn between the cities Vienna and Istanbul: Alongside a portrait of the top candidate of FPÖ a caption says, that Vienna must not become Istanbul.
We asked FPÖ to send us inspection copies of the mentioned poster, in order to bring it to its site of projection. Within the Istanbul Biannual we invited several people living in Turkey to speak about the meaning of the poster and to formulate a message back to FPÖ at its flipside. Finally, the invited people posed for photographs with their posters.
The production of two new posters, that is the creation of slogans and taking photos, was captured on video. Video #1 and Video #2
Columbarium (2005), Exhibition project, installation

To Stefan Hoderlein (2005), sound installation.
Out of a big pill, made of porcelain and standing on a mirror, which is supported by a block of Styrofoam, music from legend techno club Ego, Düsseldorf, is audible.

This project was based on an initiative from Christiane Sörensen, Ute Janssen and Ingrid Jäger. An invitation to the Parkhaus at Künstlerverein Malkasten, Düsseldorf, an exhibition space within a public park, was the reason to transform the show room to a columbarium, a depository for urns. The urns were dedicated to artists, whose work had already been exhibited in the place. Within the project all kind of vessels, also to be understood metaphorically, could serve as urns.
My works were dedicated to Stefan Hoderlein, Carl Emmanuel Wolff, Dirk Skreber and to the market orientated Academy of Fine Arts Düsseldorf. The latter urn was an ice block including the logo of the academy, which melts down during the show (in co-operation with Wolfgang Fütterer). Documentation.
Home Geyser, (2003), Video 3'30", together with Stefan Moos

Still from the video Home Geyser.
Within a pot on the cooker at home a geyser arises.

Is it necessary to travel to exotic countries, in order to experience the elemental forces or to be a part of something higher, e.g. the world or the beauty? This video shows that home can be used to construct such projections. Consequently, it is not necessarily required to make a journey.
The video is at the same time an instruction to reproduce the geyser. More videos were planned and are still in mind. Video

By a realtime installation at Sternbrücke, Hamburg the traffic of the city had been measured and transformed to video projections and sound in order to distribute and present the results at different sites within the surrounding area. Dokumentation video. Documentation page.
